Adventurous Business Offerings = Greater Buzz

It’s summertime and the livin’ is easy with fun activities – like family travel, backyard barbeques, outdoor concerts, stargazing, sailing, parties, beach volleyball, evening dips in the pool – but hey, what about your business?

Can you afford to stop paying attention to your business and put it on hold?

No, probably not. So what can you do to give yourself some downtime to enjoy the summer season AND most importantly, to make your business offerings a bit more attractive?

Maybe it’s time to get a bit more adventurous in your approach. Ho-hum marketing isn’t going to generate much of a buzz, so try thinking outside the box.

Rather than starting from scratch think about what you already have that you can transform. For example, take a look at how you deliver your services to your clients. Never assume your audience wants your materials only delivered in one way. Everyone’s learning styles are different – some like to read, to listen, to watch, or even to participate. Begin to think about how you can take your products or services and reformat or repackage them in different ways.

One adventurous colleague of mine took a popular program she offers to her customer base and streamlined it into an eight-week summer program. She mixed the program up by combining support and accountability with pre-recorded audio lessons (aka flexibility for both her and the participants); a perfect way to build in ease and freedom while accommodating vacation schedules in July and August.

Starting to get the idea?

I’ve done the same thing over at my blog by mixing up my “read only” content with audio. I’ve added a new interview series to my blog where I chat with highly successful women who have made an adventurous leap in their work and/or life and are willing to share their secrets.

The interview series provides a different way to tap into my content, keeping it fresh for my loyal blog readers. Last by not least, the audio format has built in flexibility and portability – blog visitors can download one interview or the entire series to their ipod and listen to it anywhere or anytime!

Scan your business…what area or program can you transform for greater buzz? Be adventurous — you might be surprised how fun it is to get creative and diversify. It’s also a great way to keep your customers curious and connected to your business during the summer.

Give me a shout to let me know how you’ve stepped out into adventurous and created greater buzz. To your own adventures to transformation™!
